Replacing Window Units With Central Air

This week Surgi's finished installing air conditioning and heating in a home that had none.  In addition, the project included:
  • All ductwork and grilles
  • Refrigerant lines from the condenser to the evaporator coil in the attic
  • Drain line to the plumbing stack
  • Gas line to the new gas furnace
  • Two new electrical circuits
  • Condenser platform
  • GFI outlet and an attic light
  • Attic stairs
  • Plywood decking and walkway to the furnace
  • 1000 s.f. of R30 insulation.

This scope of work is average for such a project.  You can begin to understand why some homeowners prefer to stay with window units rather than have to coordinate these many tasks to be performed by electricians, plumbers, insulators and carpenters.

Not the case here, though.  Surgi's provided all of the requirements for the job and the homeowner wrote one check.  In fact, the homeowner was away from home and gave us the key.  When they returned, the job was finished.

Don't get tied up in remodeling issues.  Give Surgi's the key and enjoy the ride.
